THE FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS PART 1


TEXT: Phil 1:11
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God

 MESSAGE:
Righteousness is the first thing that God gives to us at the new birth. It is the foundation of all things in the kingdom of God. But God does not expect us to stop there. Righteousness gives us access to the treasury of God. All His heritage, wisdom, power, and resources in the vast expanse of eternity become available to us when we become righteous. That is why Jesus say: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

Having been translated into the kingdom of God (Col 1:12-13) and haven been given the gift of righteousness, we are expected to manifest the results of righteousness. Those things that righteousness produce through and in us are called the fruit of righteousness.

One of such fruits of righteousness is answer to prayers. James 5:16 says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." What God is saying is that when a man has received righteousness he should always have results when He prays. That is why when Jesus says He wants us to be fruitful, he goes further to explain: "...that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you". (John 15:16) Can you see why everything will be added to you once you receive righteousness?

One very exciting thing about this whole arrangement is that God desires and longs for you to produce the fruits of righteousness. In fact it brings glory and praises  to Him (John 15:8 Phil 1:11).That is to say that God is eager and happy to see our prayers produce results because it brings glory and praise to Him. Fortunately for us, righteousness comes at no cost to us. Its a gift! If you are born again, you have it. You can stat praying with confidence and expect results.

If are not sure you are born again and you want to  receive this great gift, simply believe with all your heart that Jesus died for your sins and that God has raised Him up. Then confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. You shall be saved and righteousness will be yours automatically.

PRAYERS
1. Thank you Father for the gift of righteousness you have given me
2. Thank you Father for the Holy Spirit is producing in me the fruits of righteousness
3. I receive answers to all my prayers in Jesus Name.
4. Father purge me and your church for that matter so that we can produce more fruit to your glory.
