TEXT:  John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. MESSAGE : Since the last two devotionals, there have been various questions. But the majority of the questions centre on how exactly one can acquire the knowledge of God since reading, or studying about him doesn't necessarily result in knowing God Jesus says that knowing God is eternal life. (John 17:3). The reason is: if eternal life is in you, you have a relationship with God because of the process by which that eternal life is received. To receive eternal life you must be born again--this time, not by man but by God through faith in Jesus. "as many as received [Jesus], to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God ." TEXT : John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, andthat your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you MESSAGE Congratulations and welcome to another year. Its a brand new opportunity to fulfil destiny. Did you know that you are not in this world just to occupy space and time? You are in this world for a purpose. When God created man, he gave him a purpose for living. He created us to " Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion. .." (Gen 1:28). Fulfilling this purpose is how our lives can bring glory to God (John 15:8). It is also the pathway to true fulfilment in life. Beloved you are born to be fruitful, multiply, subdue the earth and replenish it. Fulfilling this purpose is doing exploits. This year is going to see a manifestation of the spirit and the power of God. Great territories lie ahead of us to be taken; great heights are to be scaled; great tasks to be accomplished and great records to break. Did you record breakthroughs last year, you haven't seen anything yet, more are on the way. Did you live below your expectations last year? Cheer up you have a brand new opportunity of exceeding your expectations. TEXT: Hebrews 13:15 B y him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of  our  lips giving thanks to his name. MESSAGE One of thr fruits that righteousness produces in us is the fruit of our lips. In our text, the Holy Spirit through the writer of Hebrews (and I strongly believe it to be Paul) explains that thanksgiving is that fruit of our lips. It is the fruit or product of righteousness that manifests on our lips as the evidence of the state and content of our heart.  Praise is a mode of worship. The praise or worship that God delights in is the praise that is offered in spirit and in truth. Jesus says:  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. MESSAGE Since God created man He has always longed for our fruitfulness. That's why he blessed man to be fruitful. In fact, " Behold, the husbandman [God] waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain ." (James 5:7). The enemy has tried to stop this all the while. he mutated man to the point that he does not have the capacity to generate such fruit. Jesus knew that you cannot teach man to produce the fruits God is talking about. Man needed a change of nature to do so.
