Once you receive the Word of God with meekness, He begins to work on your mind and take charge of your mind--thought and conscience --till they function like Christ's. Soon you'd be able to discern what the will of God is in every issue of life. Remember that some few days ago, we explained that everyone has his mind subject to some force referred to as "the spirit of your mind". For the children of disobedience (the unregenerated people) it is the spirit of the Prince of the Power of the Air. Apart from being in charge of their spirit, he was also in charge of their minds, making them to think, talk and walk as they do (Eph 2:2). When you get born again, however, this spirit is dead from your spirit. God severs that body of sin of death through a process called spiritual circumcision (Col2:11-12). In John 1:1-3 we learn that He's God and all things were made by Him. In Heb. 1:3, we are told that the word of God is that by which He sustains all things. The word of God is the captain of the host of heaven. All the angels in heaven are under His command. Our template is the Lord Jesus and so we'd once again observe Him to understand this process.
