SPIRIT BASED PLANNING AND STRATEGY 10 (THE MIND OF CHRIST)


Once you receive the Word of God with meekness, He begins to work on your mind and take charge of your mind--thought and conscience --till they function like Christ's. Soon you'd be able to discern what the will of God is in every issue of life.

Remember that some few days ago, we explained that everyone has his mind subject to some force referred to as "the spirit of your mind". For the children of disobedience (the unregenerated people) it is the spirit of the Prince of the Power of the Air. Apart from being in charge of their spirit, he was also in charge of their minds, making them to think, talk and walk as they do (Eph 2:2). When you get born again, however, this spirit is dead from your spirit. God severs that body of sin of death through a process called spiritual circumcision (Col2:11-12). However, you have to redeem your soul from its influence through the regeneration of your mind.

When you were not born again, you were a slave of the devil so you had no choice or option. However now you're free from him. You are no longer indebted to sin. Now you're in charge, and it is "whomsoever you now yield yourself as servant to obey, his servant ye are whom you obey". God lets you make your choices so you can take full responsibility for them.

As you receive the Word of God with meekness, your yielding to Christ. Now, you are to ensure you fellowship with the Word like we have explained. That way, you are regenerating your mind. As you regenerate your mind this way, the Spirit of your mind is no longer the spirit of the power of the air, but the spirit of Christ. He floods your heart with divine thoughts, wisdom and ideas. In fact, he can supplant your thoughts with His own. This way, you'd be able to perceive the mind of Christ and think out His thoughts. Thus, you may not even need to see a vision or hear a voice from heaven to know the mind of God. You'd know things without being taught.

You may think it is intuition, but it is not. It is the Holy Spirit bringing divine wisdom to you. You may have some doubts at the elementary stage of your learning. But soon the Word will train you to know, distinctly, the voice of the Spirit. Thus the most important thing for you to do is to eat the Word voraciously. the more you read and study God's word, the more you're able to discern the voice of the Spirit.

LET US PRAY
Dear Father, thank you for banishing the spirit of the prince of the power of the air from my spirit. I am circumcised with the circumcision made without hands but by the Spirit of Grace. I am born again and a new creature. I have the spirit of Christ within me

Father I yield my mind to the Spirit of your Christ I fellowship daily with the Christ through the Word of Your Grace. I am getting transformed in my mind, putting on the Lord Christ

I receive divine direction and leadership for I am a servant of Christ and I have His mind. I receive His thoughts and know His will in the Name of Jesus

Father I pray for your church that you'd cause us all to be transformed by the renewal of our minds till we come to the full knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
