SPIRIT BASED PLANNING AND STRATEGY 8 (THE MIND OF CHRIST)


TEXT: James 1:21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

 MESSAGE
Do you want to reason and plan with divine IQ, wisdom and frequency, you've got to go beyond studying the scripture to fellowshiing with the Word. Today, we'd examine how to locate set up yourself to reach beyond the scripture to the Word of God

Our passage today calls the Word of God that is able to save our souls the engrafted (implanted,  or encoded) word. There are only two places on earth in which the word of God is engrafted. Firstly, it is encoded in the scriptures and subsequently in the willing and open heart heart of a contrite person.

God encoded His word in the scripture so that you can decode it and install it into your heart through meditative study and dedicated practice. To do this, you need to receive the Word in the prescribed manner. When you open your heart to read the Word of God, you must be prepared to be a student of the word and the first criterion in the Word Academy after salvation is meekness. I call this the meekness of a weaned child. God says: Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. (Isaiah 28:9)

A weaned child is one who that has learnt that hence forth he can no longer have his way always. He has learnt that God is not obliged to fulfil his lust. He's no longer seeking God for the things he can get from God but for relationship with God. God is no longer a means to an end for him, God is now the end. So whatever comes his way, adversity or prosperity, they only propel him forward in His quest to know God and to do His will.

You must be weaned from the storm of passion and the murmur of self will to be a student of the Word. you must cast down the imaginations and high things that array themselves against the knowledge of the Lord from your heart. You must bow down your heart in humility and meekness truly confessing Jesus as your Lord. You can't say "No" to a Lord. The only right answer is YES LORD, AS YOUR LORDSHIP PLEASES. You'd locate the Word when you determine to let him have the final say in EVERY issue.

 LET US PRAY
Father I humble myself before you today to receive your Word and pattern my life by your dictates. I declare that Jesus is the Lord of my life and has the final say.

Strengthen me with might Lord to be duly yielded to you through thick and thin

Cause me to hear your voice above the storm of passion and the murmur of self will

Pray for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ too
