THE GRACE OF GOD

TEXT: 2Corinthians 13:14 

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. 

MESSAG:
Ask an average Christian today what he knows about grace, he'd simply tell you, "Grace is unmerrited favour". Well, close as that may seem, I think it depreciate from the true meaning of what Grace actually is. Grace is the manifestation of God's unconditional love as revealed in Jesus by which He transmits to man His fullness (his person, power, presence precepts and providence) to man who doesn't merit it.

Grace gives unconditional access to God and His resources. It is the reason why you can do anything because His full resources are made available to you on the platter of grace. Grace is the reason why nothing can oppose you successfully because God has taken His side  with you and as such no one can be against you. It is grace that brings salvation (Titus 2:11).  Salvation is that term in the Word of God that describes how that all of God and all of His resources are given and made available to us. God becomes your portion in the land of the living. What a goodly heritage! The truth is that by God's grace, He makes you His child and for that matter a joint heir with Jesus. It gives you access to the divine life whereby we live as Jesus did on earth "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE." . This is the reason why we live as kings on earth (Rom 5:17)

Grace was made available to us because of the intense love of God. Grace is a manifestation of this divine love by which God gave His Son to die for us while we were yet sinners. This love is inexplicable and inexhaustible. The best thing you can do with grace is to make sure that it is not in vain. Appreciate this God of all Grace in thanksgiving; reciprocate His love by obeying His Words (John 14:15) and testify to His love by evangelism--telling others the good news of God's perfect love. Stand upon this grace and make your boast in it. Acknowledge it and live by it. You'd be glad you did.

PRAYER
Thank God for His unconditional love

Ask God to give us understanding of the message of His grace

Ask God to help you make full use of His grace

Ask God to give the church the true understanding of His grace
