THE LORD IS WITH THEE PT 2

TEXT: Judges 6:12
12  And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

MESSAGE
Challenges or failure have the sole purpose of making you loss the consciousness of God's presence. But the presence of the Lord is what guarantees victory from that habit, sin, challenge etc. When Gideon asked how he could be sure that he would be able to save Israel, "the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man." 

Even when you walk through your most gloomy situation, the valley of the shadow of death, the Lord is with you (Psalm 23). Even when you think that you are so far from God or that you are in such a state that God abhors, God is still there waiting to be permitted to bring you out. There is no place more unlikely to have God's presence as hell. But when God's child walks through hell, God is still there with him. David says, " Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there" (Psalm 139:7&8).

Failure, whether in finance, character, family etc does not mean that the Lord has left you, it only means that you have not acknowledged his presence and willingness to help and as such have not been able to receive His help Say to yourself, the Lord is with me.

God does not leave His people. It is His people that walk away. But even then, He is always with us. You may think you are too sinful to earn God's presence. Well, you couldn't even be holy enough to earn it anyway. "we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6). The  presence of God with His children is a gift of love to them that have found grace in His sight. It is based on the righteousness of Jesus

The reason why you have to be conscious of the presence of God is because, it is that consciousness that opens you to the help that His presence brings. God had been with Gideon all these while but until he acknowledged it, his condition did not change. The more you think that God has departed from you, the more you close yourself to the grace of God. Be conscious of that truth that God is with you and victory is yours in Jesus Name.

PRAYER
Thank God for his continuous presence

Declare that you are aware that God is present with you always and command every bondage in your life to be broken by the presence of God.

Ask God to bring you out of every negative situation

Pray that God's church will be filled with the consciousness of His presence

Pray for the nation and me too
