THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD

TEXT: Romans 8:19-21
19  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

MESSAGE:
Yesterday we learnt that God's children are the real agents of Change that the world is waiting for. If that is the case why is there so much ills despite the numerous churches and Christians we have around? It seems as if the more churches proliferate, so do evil, ills and corruption. Jesus did ministry for 3 and a half years. But for more than 2000 years now, his impact has not waned, rather, it is increasing. If actually Jesus prolonged His days in us, if actually he lives in us, why don't we seem to be making impact? Why should the world wait in vain for our impact? Why should sickness, death and poverty reign even among us?

Beloved, what we must notice from Romans 8:19 is that what creation is waiting for, and for that matter what will cause of the much awaited impact is not simply the presence of the sons of God, but the MANIFESTATION of the sons of God. The manifestation of the son of God is the shining of their light. When Jesus was on earth He said; "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." (John 9:5) Jesus lived for 33 and half years. 30 of those years were without any notable impact because the Son of God in Him had not manifested. But as soon as God declared, "this is my beloved son..." Thereby manifesting Him as His son by the Spirit of Holiness, Jesus began to make notable impact and in less than 4 years, he made such impact that the world will never recover from. Now He has physically left the world. You who have believed in Him are now the light of the world (Matt 5:14). So you are commanded, " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matt 5:16).

The Sun of Righteousness--Jesus--has arisen upon the us as promised (Malachi 4:2). Now its our duty to shine. Isaiah 60:1 shows us that when the son of God arises, he shines. The Word did not say arise AND shine. It says, Arize, Shine! That shows that in your rising is your shining. Just how do you arize? The Holy Spirit! He is the life giving power. It is the Spirit that quickeneth" (John 6:63a). "... Sheer muscle and willpower don't make any­thing hap­pen." (John 6:63b MSG). When the Spirit came to Ezekiel, it set him on his feet (Ezekiel 2:1-2). When the Spirit comes upon you, you will arise and your light will shine. You will no longer be a victim but a triumphant agent of Dellivrance, healing prosperity and holiness. You will manifest the glory of God by radiating the light of the Sun of Righteousness to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus says in Acts 1:8) that The coming of the Holy Spirit on you will give you power to testify (or proof )... that you have been with Jesus because the afterglow of His presence will be seen continually on you. This was what happened to the apostles that people took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. Why? Because the people saw them doing as Jesus will do. Receive the power now to do the works of Jesus, to shine as light and make an everlasting impact.

PRAYER
Thank you Father for sending us your Spirit

I open myself to the Holy Spirit now. Let the Holy Spirit fill me to overflow in Jesus Name

Father let the Holy Spirit glorify the Name of Jesus in my life

Father prepare me to receive the fullness of the Spirit

Father open my eyes to see your glory

Father cause me to reflect your glory

Father pour out your Spirit upon the church as was on the day of Pentecost

Father let the fire of revival burn through your church

Pray in the Spirit

Pray for me too
