THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD

Text: Isaiah 11:2
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

MESSAGE
If you ever want to make a lasting impact in life. If you want to rise above circumstances and control them, if you want to fulfill your destiny, and be not just what you want to be, but that unbelieveable thing that the Lord has prepared for you, you need to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit. We are sent to do the same work that God sent Jesus to do Jesus says as my  Father  hath sent me, even so send I you (John 20:21) In fact He said: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father". (John 14:12) Simply put, the task is the task or destroying the works of the devil wherever it is found: Whether in your  life, family, society, nation or world, you are to hunt down the works of the devil ands destroy them. Jesus was anointed with the fullness of the Holy Spirit for that reason (John 4:18). The very fact that you are sent as Jesus was sent to do the works that Jesus did and even greater, requires that you be filled with the same fullness of the Spirit as Jesus was.

The fullness of the Spirit refers to the 7 mifestations of the Holy Spirit of God. In the book of Revelation 5:6 these seven fold Spirit of the Lord are termed as the eyes of the Lord. Jesus has shed forth this seven fold spirit upon us (Acts 2:33). That is why the bible says the Spirit  is sent forth into all the earth (Rev. 5:6). These seven fold Spirit of God are listed out in Isaiah 11:2.

Now according to Isaiah 11:2 the Spirit manifests as the Spirit of the Lord or the Spirit of Lordship. This comes upon God's children to equip them for service. He equips you to do great things for God. When Mary was to give birth to Jesus in a most unprecedented manner, the Angel told her that " The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee..." (Luke 1:35). Whenever this happens you cease to operate by your power, wisdom or will. The Holy Spirit becomes the source of your energy and inspiration and responsible for the product that union. At that point it is not you acting but God. And the product of that union is unstoppable "For WHATSOEVER [that is, anything] is born of God overcometh the world" (1John 5:4). If He made you preach, nothing in the world can resist your word. When Peter preached under that power, he had 3000 converts instantly. If he gave you a concept, it must sell. If He made you lay hands on the sick, thy must recover. Why because as at that time, its not you but the Spirit of the Lord that is responsible for those things

How do you get this Spirit to come upon you? The bible says to wait upon Him. For "Those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power..." (Isaiah 40:31 Amp). That is so say, their power is exchanged for God's. That's why they do the impossible effortlessly. How do you wait, you wait with strong desire and expectation. You sure want the power of God to work for you. Then you have to wait on Him for baptism with the Spirit of the Lord.

PRAYER
Father thank you for the Holy Spirit that you have sent to your church

Father I release myself to you cause your Spirit to come upon me.
Let the power of the Highest overshadow me

Father be glorified in my life by the Spirit if God

Father fill your church with your Spirit

Now pray in the Holy Ghost!
