ALIGNING TO FULFIL DIVINE MANDATES
TEXT 2Tim 2:20-21
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
A mandate is an order given to somebody to carry out a certain task or duty. When God created man, it was for him to fulfill mandates. He was Predestinated to fulfill the Dominion mandate. Despite the fact that Satan, through sin, robbed man of this high call, Jesus died to give man a new life and a new mandate. He raised up for himself a people prepared and zealous for all good works. (Titus 2:14). To that extent, we were, in Jesus, predestinated to fulfill divine mandates. The fulfillment of these mandates is what determines if we had a fulfilled destiny or not.
God calls all men to come unto Him but not all fulfill His mandate or remain relevant to the mandate after a while. To qualify for, and fulfil Gods mandate over your life, you must prepare yourself and properly align your life for that. Mandates are fulfilled only by the persons that prepare themselves for them This preparation is what we mean by alignment and this alignment is what determines whether or not you are qualified to fulfill a divine mandate and whether or not we can enjoy continuous relevance in it.
The scriptures states unequivocally that the prerequisite which must be met before a man can be aligned and made ready for any mandate that the Lord would give is consecration. Easy English Version puts 2Tim 2:21 this way:
"It is like that with the*Lord’s people. If they make themselves completely separate from bad, dirty things, then they will be like dishes for special, clean purposes. They will be ready for God to use them. He is like the master of the house. They will be ready for him to use them for any good work. (2Tim 2:21).
It is one thing to be a child of God with all the rights and privileges of a child. But for you to be God's emissary making great impacts for Him, you must consecrate yourself. Make a conscious decision to live a consecrated life and God will flow through you mightily for unusual exploits
