GOD'S PROVISION FOR YOUR PROVIDENCE 2
TEXT: Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
MESSAGE
Many times, when we read the above scripture, we hurry to read our minds into the scripture. Our hearts quickly interpreted it as "Give offerings and God shall bless you by given you 100 fold of what you gave" well, Jesus never said that. He didn't specify who or what to give. Rather Jesus is addressing your attitude.
A generous attitude whether to God or men will equally cause a spiritual environment around you that affects men's disposition towards you which makes them to be generous in their dealing with you. The earth realm is governed by laws and the regenerated man has the potentials to initiate those laws whether for or against himself and even others in his scope of influence. That is why God teaches you how to operate those laws and cause the earth and it inhabitants to respond positively towards you. You're responsible for creating the spiritual atmosphere that prevails in your life. The way you give has much to do with that.
We all give, one way or the other each day. You give your money, time skill and energy to your boss, employers, students, clients, family, etc. But your attitude is what makes the difference. This has nothing to do with your financial status. A bad giver would go late to work, attend shabbily to his clients, students or family members, does nothing cheerfully for his local church etc. But a person with a spirit of excellence will give all of that with a touch of excellence. He gives without grudge and goes the extra mile. In other words, he's a cheerful giver. He doesn't expect to be repaid by the beneficiary of his giving. He gives as unto the Lord thus neither deifying nor vilifying his object of giving. Such is the delight of God (2Cor 9:7, Psalm 16:2-3).
Bottomline: If people's attitude towards you is negative; they seem to never want to give you your due even when you think you deserve it, check your attitude: you're evidently not a cheerful giver.
LET US PRAY
Father thanks for rightly reposition my attitude.
Father I've made up my mind to be a cheerful giver of all that you've put in my control. I receive grace for that now in Jesus Name
By my giving, I cause a positive change in my spiritual environment. I command the disposition of men towards me to become positive in the name of Jesus
Father let this truth prevail in your church in Jesus Name
