SPIRIT-BASED PLANNING AND STRATEGY 5 (THE MIND OF CHRIST)


THE MIND OF CHRIST 5
TEXT: Prov. 13:20
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed

 MESSAGE
Yesterday the word of God revealed to us the life spring or life force of our mind; showing us why we reason and for that matter, act the way we do. This is extremely important because the state of our minds is the door that determines the spiritual prototypes (whether of God or of Satan) that flows into our physical experience (Rom 6:16, 8:5-8). To open up yourself for the will of God therefore, you have to develop the mind of Christ and to do so you have to be transformed in the spirit of your mind. This is how to be spiritually minded as described in Rom 8:5-5.

Now, to develop the mind of Christ or become spiritually minded, you need fellowship. You've heard the addage, show me your friends and I'd tell you who you are, right? It is quite true. God's word actually confirms that. It says, "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" (1Cor 15:33). "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed" (Prov. 13:20). Thus the most effective way to transform your mind is through fellowship or association.

God shows us that if we want to have our minds transformed into the mind of Christ, we must cultivate a strong fellowship with Christ. Now there are three cumulative ways by which you can fellowship with Christ. You can fellowship with Christ by fellowshipping with:
The Word of Christ
The Spirit of Christ and
The Church of Christ.
We shall explain each of these in our subsequent studies. But till then, I want you to understand that these three modes of fellowshipping with Christ have to be made the principal thing in your life and non of them is less important to the other. The meaning therefore is that you must fellowship with the word as much as with His Spirit and His Church. If you diligently do these, you'd develop the mind of Christ, gain access to His mysteries, plans and powers and manifest His virtue and glory

Father, thank you for bringing me another revelation to improve my walk of faith

Thank you father for giving me access through fellowship to the mind of Christ

I receive grace to make the best of these training avenues. I fellowship with the word, Spirit and Church of Christ henceforth and as I do so, I'm developing the mind of Christ

Father cause that your church would improve in fellowship and get better in the things of God
